There is always something to be thankful for – Thursdays around here at SOF are dedicated to being thankful.

TT 003

[ One ]
I am a daughter of the King, who rules a kingdom that cannot be shaken.  Jason and I have been reminded of God’s shaking power recently and it truly is something I am thankful for.

“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:28

[ Two ]

I am thankful for snow and lots of it! As I watched it melt yesterday and wait in expectation to see more of it fall today, I am thankful! It reminds me of the power in Christ’s shed blood that can be so crimson, yet has made me so pure, clean, white. I also love how LOTS of snow keeps our family inside and together. I am so thankful for SNOW! 🙂

“Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.” Psalms 51:7

[ Three ]

Finally, I am thankful for LEGOs! Even though I step on them in the middle of the night, I find them in EVERY room of our house, and I really don’t understand the concept, I am thankful for LEGOs. They provide hours of imagination and enjoyment for our children and they even force me into their world, which is a good place for me to go….sometimes. 🙂

It is a big deal for me to truly be thankful for something such as LEGOs–they drive me crazy, well, umm….almost all of the time!  So, my challenge to you today and for me: Can I be thankful ALL day for LEGOs? Can I be thankful even with something, someone, so frustrating? Can I truly give thanks in all circumstances, be joyful always, and pray continually today? (1 Thessalonians 5:18)?   We can do it! I am cheering for you!
